The AMU Old Boys Association of Qatar (Amuoba) hosted a vibrant 207th Sir Syed Day event in Doha recently, bringing together a gathering that enjoyed poetry and cultural performances.

Renowned Indian Urdu poet and Rajya Sabha member Imran Pratapgarhi was the chief guest. Amuoba president Moen Azmi welcomed the gathering.
The other guests included Brigadier Ahmad, The Institution of Engineers (India ) Qatar chapter chairman Abdul Sattar, and Qatar Radio presenter Obaid Tahir.

Qatar-based poets Azeez Nabil, Ashfaq Deshmukh, Ahmad Ashfaq, Dr Wasiul Haque Wasi, Muzaffar Nayab and Shalini Verma presented their works to immense appreciation from the audience.

A highlight of the event was the quiz hosted by Sadia Khan, offering on-spot prizes. General secretary Mohammad Obaidullah gave a presentation highlighting Amouba’s diverse activities.

The event, which showcased spectacular performances from children, was hosted by Ayesha and Jihan.

Vice-president Mazhar Khan proposed a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all attendees, participants, and the executive committee team members, including Salman, Khubaib, Rameez, Saireen, Faraz, Shahid and others, to make the evening a success.
