Head of Qatar Camel Festival to QNA: Jazilat Al Atta 2025 achieves extraordinary success, record turnout

Head of the Qatar Camel Festival, Ali Al Hamidi, noted the incredible success of the Qatar Camel Festival "Jazilat Al Atta" 2025, which showed record turnout from visitors, whether in the accompanying events, or contests that featured strong competitions among camel owners from Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in multiple domestic and international races.In his remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Hamidi highlighted that the festival's competitions drew a superb public attendance from enthusiasts, citizens, residents and those who came from many GCC states to participate in this event.He stated that the festival's contests exhibited strong competitiveness among owners across various categories, highlighting the formidable caliber of Tuesday's rounds, which featured distinguished participants and were decided by marginal differentials.Al Hamidi hailed the owners' strong adherence to the rules and conditions of participation, along with their keenness to implement them, as well as their cooperation with the organizing committee to have a successful event. He commended the role of the integrated team that organized this event.He emphasized that this year's festival witnessed an incredible success, by virtue of the sophisticated infrastructure at Al Mazayen area, along with the increased prize values, and introduction of numerous new competitions that featured substantial participation.To mark the National Sports Day, he highlighted that the day is a perfect opportunity to enhance the culture of physical activity, underlining that the festival had been keen to have a special celebration where events inspired from popular legacy were held to pay tribute to this inveterate heritage.Al Hamidi indicated that through these events visitors are given a unique opportunity to engage in the activities of conventional games, as well as the physical challenges practiced by ancestors, thereby reflecting the deep-rooted Qatari values in endurance and cooperation.He highlighted that fusing sport with heritage reflects the Qatari identity and deepens the generations' ties with their inveterate past.
