The Qatar Drag Race Championship concluded after an exciting fifth and final round at the Qatar Racing Club (QRC). The event was held under the patronage of QRC Chairman HE Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al-Thani.Four racers celebrated their championship titles in the final round, securing the top spot on the podium. In the Index 10.0 category, Hisham al-Awadi had already clinched the season title in the previous round, regardless of the outcome of the final round. However, he continued to showcase his skill and reached the final race, where he faced the winner of the second round, Hussein al-Baloushi. Al-Awadi emerged victorious, securing his fourth title of the season and further extending his lead in the overall standings.In the Index 8.5 category for cars, Hamdan al-Kaabi claimed the fifth-round title, marking his second championship win. He triumphed in the final race against Nawaf Mohammed al-Ansari to secure the season’s title in this category.In the Index 8.5 category for bikes, Abdullah al-Ansari claimed the championship title after defeating Hussein Eid in the final race. This was al-Ansari’s second victory in the championship, following his win in the second round, which helped him secure the current season’s title.In the Index 4.80 category, Hussein Maqsid marked his first appearance in a final race and managed to win, defeating Abdullah al-Uqab. Maqsid was crowned the season champion, benefiting from his third-place finishes in the earlier rounds.The fifth and final round also saw some noteworthy victories. Mustafa Atat claimed the Index 4.50 category title for the second consecutive round, defeating Ali al-Attiya in the final. Based on points accumulated over the five rounds, Rashid al-Baloushi was crowned the season champion in this category.Mohammed al-Salem secured his second title in the Street Bike category after winning the third round. He triumphed in the final over Musa al-Baloushi, who took second place for the second consecutive round. Mohammed Bourashid completed the podium, claiming the season title in this category after finishing on the podium in every round, including three first-place finishes.In the Super Street category for cars, Turki al-Dhafiri was crowned season champion despite not making it to the podium in the final round. His consistency throughout the season, with victories in the previous three rounds, earned him the title. Jaber Salman won the final round after defeating Bader al-Sharshani.Mohammed al-Ansari claimed his first championship title in the Index 9.0 category, winning the final race against Ali al-Khamiri, who finished second. Majed al-Sharshani, who had been the runner-up in the third round, took third place in this round. Despite not winning the final round, Rmaih Jassim secured the season title due to his consistent performances and accumulation of the highest points throughout the season.The Kuwaiti Motorsport Club presented two commemorative plaques on behalf of Sheikh Ahmad al-Dawood al-Sabah, Chairman of the Board, to HE Sheikh Khalid and QRC Director-General Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid al-Thani. These were presented by Sheikh Sabah al-Dawood al-Sabah, Director-General of the Kuwaiti Club.Qatar Racing Club also presented commemorative plaques to the Chairman and Director-General of the Kuwaiti Club, as well as to the President and Member of the Drag Race Committee, Abdullah al-Aqab and Mohammed al-Faraj, respectively. Sheikh Jabor crowned the top three winners of the final round and also the season champions.
