The Israeli occupation forces continued the aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 24th consecutive day, and on the Nour Shams camp for the 11th day, amidst a military escalation of demolition, bombing, and burning of homes and widespread destruction of infrastructure.
The Palestinian (WAFA) News Agency said that the occupation forces sent more military reinforcements to the city of Tulkarm and its camps, Tulkarm and Nour Shams, accompanied by the sounds of gunfire and explosions, while they stormed the suburbs of Dhnaba east of the city and Artah south and raided several homes and residential buildings, and detained a number of citizens, including displaced persons from Nour Shams camp.
The occupation forces deployed in various streets and neighborhoods of the city, and set up military checkpoints in them, stationed in the streets of Nablus connecting Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, Shuweika roundabout in the northern neighborhood, Abu Safiya junction in the eastern neighborhood, and Faroun roundabout to the south, while infantry troops roamed the streets of the city, specifically the vegetable market, and the street of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
The occupation bulldozers continued to demolish a number of homes in the camp since yesterday morning, while soldiers burned a number of others, amidst the sounds of gunfire, as the targeted homes belong to several families.
The head of the Popular Committee for Services in Tulkarm Camp, Faisal Salama, explained to WAFA that during this ongoing aggression, according to statistics up to now, 50 homes were destroyed and burned, 300 shops were completely destroyed, in addition to the destruction and sabotage of a large number of vehicles, and thus the camp became lifeless, as water, electricity and communications were cut off after the infrastructure was sabotaged and bulldozed, in addition to the displacement of 11,000 citizens out of 15,000 who used to live there.
The occupation forces continue the tight siege on Nour Shams camp, amid the deployment of infantry soldiers in its neighborhoods, raiding and sabotaging homes, while burning the home of the Faisal family in the Manshiya neighborhood.
At the same time, the occupation forces continue to close the gate of the Jabara checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm for the 12th consecutive day, isolating the city from the villages and towns of Al-Kafriyat and the rest of the West Bank governorates.
