The second season of the Rawabi Sports League (RSL) concluded, drawing an overwhelming response from participants and spectators alike, a statement said Wednesday.
The event, a testament to Rawabi Management’s commitment to employee engagement and sportsmanship, saw fierce competition across multiple sporting disciplines.
The overall championship was claimed by Team Rawabi Kings. The championship trophy was presented by managing director Mohammed Abdulla. The ceremony was held at Al Gharafa Sports Club as part of Qatar National Sport Day.
The Rawabi Sports League team management, also comprises executive director Ajmal Abdulla, group directors Muhamed Sadik and Haris Thayyil, group general manager Kannu Baker, assistant finance manager Navas K P, administration manager Rahees E M and Shamsu T K.
“In alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 vision of promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle, Rawabi Management remains dedicated to empowering its staff through initiatives like the Rawabi Sports League. This event not only fosters teamwork and resilience but also strengthens our corporate culture by bringing employees together in the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence,” said Mohammed Abdulla.
The competition witnessed outstanding performances across various categories. Team Rawabi Kings emerged as the overall champions, securing victories in cricket, 400 x 100m relay, and football, under the leadership of wholesale division assistant general manager Naushad K T K and assistant finance manager Sabiq Ali.
Team Rawabi Royals won in volleyball and badminton, guided by purchase manager Ismail V P and assistant marketing manager Sajith E P. Team Rawabi Stars won tug of war and 100m sprint, led by human resources manager Shanavas Raja Salim and Faisal Saidalavi.
Team Rawabi Sparks also put on an impressive performance, under the guidance of operations manager Ansar P P and assistant IT manager Reneesh.
Meridian Constructions Qatar was the title sponsor, while JBS and Pena Branca powered the event. Additionally, each team was backed by Pepsi, Kerala Kitchen, 5 Star, Fine, 4 Dear, 777, No.1 Malabar, Winn, Green Wealth, and Friendly Food Qatar.
The media partners were Gulf Times, Rawabi Media, Inkfinity, and Dorado Advertising. Hot Chicken, Café Lovella, and Hot Tea provided the refreshments.
