Gallery Five Home opens in Qatar; unveils Guinness World Record

Gallery Five Home, the first-of-its-kind interior solutions platform in the Middle East, has officially opened its showroom at Giardino Mall, The Pearl.

The event, held in collaboration with LuLu Middle East, featured a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest mammal sculpture.

Dignitaries such as Sheikh Abdulaziz al-Thani, Abdulla Yaaqob Alhay, Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed al-Thani, as well as government officials and industry leaders, attended the exclusive reception.

The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Qatar’s 12th Guinness World Record—‘Largest Plastic Bag Sculpture of a Mammal’. The dugong sculpture measures 8m in length and a height and width of 4.10m.

The launch also featured a special showcase of masterpieces by renowned Qatari artists Ahmed al-Maadheed and Muna al-Bader, along with Moroccan artist Aicha Abouhaj, who captivated guests with a live painting of her Hikayat Tales artwork.

Honouring the ancestral legacy of Qatari Sadu Art and Moroccan Amazigh tattoos, the piece symbolises women’s stories through intricate patterns of family, unity, and harmony. Guests indulged in a refined fine dining experience, enjoying an ambience that seamlessly blended art, culture, and the diversity of attendees.
