The 13th Halal Qatar Festival 2025, organised by Katara Cultural Village, continued successfully for the fourth consecutive day Saturday, attracting several livestock breeders from Qatar and the GCC countries.

The festival runs until Feb 24, providing a unique economic platform for showcasing and acquiring the finest breeds of sheep and goats, highlighting their unique features and characteristics. This contributes to preserving purebred lineages and promoting Qatari heritage. A number of winners have been announced on a daily basis as the owners of the best breeds and most beautiful animals in certain categories. Besides, the organising committee honoured the festival’s judging panel for their role in this edition of the festival.

Meanwhile, the festival continues to achieve its goals of reviving the traditional heritage of the old ways of life in the region and the preserve the related customs, reinforcing cultural legacy within the younger generations. Alongside the beauty contests for different livestock categories, the festival features a range of accompanying activities, such as: a traditional marketplace with veterinary pharmacies, date and honey shops, sweets, traditional foods, and handicrafts. Children’s art workshops and a Bedouin tent exhibit showcasing traditional lifestyle. A children’s entertainment zone with horse and camel riding experiences in a safe environment, introducing young generations to equestrian culture and Bedouin life. Besides, an art exhibition in collaboration with “Gallery 38,” featuring artists from Qatar and other countries, presenting works inspired by Bedouin heritage

Over the recent days, the festival has witnessed fierce competition among breeders, showcasing the most beautiful breeds before the judging panel, as well as auctions for distinguished livestock, creating an interactive atmosphere. As the festival progresses, more exciting competitions and cultural activities are expected, blending heritage, economy, and culture while attracting more visitors from Qatar and abroad.
