The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), represented by the Wildlife Protection Department, in cooperation with the Environmental Security Department of the Internal Security Forces (Lekhwiya), has carried out an extensive field campaign to monitor environmental violations in wild areas, which resulted in the detection of a number of sheep grazing violations.

MoECC had previously announced the ban of the grazing of sheep and goats during November 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025, in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. (23) of 2023 regarding extending the ban on camel grazing and regulating the grazing of sheep and goats in all regions of the country.
