MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education has forged a partnership with Ali Bin Ali Holding, one of Qatar’s largest and most diversified business conglomerates, to provide students with real-world industry exposure and practical learning opportunities.
The partnership will facilitate a mutually beneficial engagement between the institution and the corporate sector, ensuring that MIE-SPPU students gain first-hand industry experience across multiple sectors, including retail, wholesale, IT, tourism, and healthcare.
Ali Bin Ali Holding will also contribute to curriculum enrichment, integrating industrial insights and expertise to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industry requirements, a statement said.
The formal agreement was signed by MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education's president Yasir Nainar and Ali Bin Ali Holding chairman's office administration advisor Moataz H Ahmed Eid.
The signing ceremony was attended by MIE-SPPU director Dr Bimalendu Nath, head of administration Dinesh Bakshi, outreach programmes officer Jhulan Mukherjee and Dr ManishKumar Varma. Ali Bin Ali Holding's group general manager (human resources and administration) Aldrine Fernandez, Group General Manager and other senior managers were present.
Speaking at the event, Nainar emphasised the importance of such partnerships in advancing research, student placements, and curriculum development, reinforcing MIE-SPPU’s commitment to aligning education with industry demands.
Fernandez commended the initiative, highlighting Ali Bin Ali Holding’s dedication to supporting higher education, training, and research through collaborative programmes with MIE-SPPU.
