The Student Events and Functions Section at the Student Activities Department of Qatar University (QU) organized first Qatar University Souq, aiming to support innovative products and services while fostering an entrepreneurial environment on campus.
Inaugurated by HE President of QU Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Ansari, the event witnessed extensive participation from student and alumni projects.
The market serves as an interactive platform connecting student and alumni entrepreneurs with visitors, offering a unique opportunity to showcase products and services, establish new networks, and explore business opportunities within and beyond the university community.
It empowers young entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and transform them into successful ventures, reinforcing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The initiative seeks to support student and alumni projects, promote entrepreneurship within the university, provide an interactive space for product and service displays, and strengthen relationships between students, business owners, and investors. Additionally, it aims to stimulate creativity and innovation across various fields.
Commenting on the event, Abdullah Al Mulla, the Director of the Student Activities Department at QU, emphasized the university's commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and promoting a culture of innovation and creativity among its students.
This unique platform will showcase student projects and highlight their talents across various commercial and creative fields. It aims to provide a supportive environment for students to display and market their products and services while giving them the opportunity to interact with the public and enhance their entrepreneurial skills, Al Mulla explained.
