The 13th edition of the Halal Qatar Festival concluded Monday, after stressing the local and regional heritage and giving visitors an opportunity to experience the old ways of life first-hand.
The event was held in the southern area of Katara Cultural Village, attracting a wide participation of livestock breeders from Qatar and the other Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries, particularly from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, alongside a large turnout of heritage enthusiasts.
The closing day of the festival also witnessed fierce competition among owners of special breeds and the most beautiful animals in various categories.
Salman al-Nuaimi, chairman of the Organising Committee for the Halal Qatar Festival 2025, appreciated the high turnout of both breeders and visitors, as well as the exceptional level of organisation and competition.
The Halal Qatar Festival has played a vital role in promoting interest in improving livestock wealth, particularly in developing goat and sheep breeds.
It also contributes in raising the quality of animal production through showcasing the best practices and advanced methods, ultimately enhancing breeders’ ability to achieve better results across the both local and the international markets.
