The third Souq Waqif International Date Exhibition has concluded with total sales exceeding 127 tonnes, the Private Engineering Office (PEO) said in a statement.

The figures surpassed the numbers from the previous edition. This underscores the growing demand for premium-quality dates offered by the participating exhibitors.

Khalid Saif al-Suwaidi, general supervisor of the exhibition, said this edition witnessed exceptional success in terms of visitor numbers and sales. “The exhibition has become a vital platform for strengthening the date trade both locally and internationally while also supporting producers and traders in marketing their products,” he stated.

“The overwhelming public engagement and record sales affirm the exhibition’s importance as an annual event that enhances the date sector, supports producers, and showcases the agricultural and economic heritage of the region,” he al-Suwaidi added.
