Ministerial Director at Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) Dr Dorothea Schutz inaugurated the German pavilion at the Web Summit Qatar 2025.
The inauguration was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs and Business Development at Ministry of Commerce and Industry Saleh bin Majid al-Khulaifi, Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) chief executive Yousuf Mohamed al-Jaida, officials and representatives of the German Mittelstand GCC Office.
The pavilion hosts German startups and a high-level delegation of more than 100 chief executives, investors and startups.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Government Communications Office and the German Mittelstand GCC Office signed a memorandum of understanding to expand Germany's official participation in the next three editions of the Web Summit Qatar through establishing the German startup pavilion.
The agreement aims to foster deeper economic and technological collaboration between the two nations, connecting German startups with investors and decision-makers in the region. – QNA
