Qatar Museums (QM) has announced an exciting series of activities and events this Ramadan, allowing visitors to experience the rich traditions of Ramadan and participate in a variety of interactive experiences for all ages.
Qatar Museums Archeology Department will host open days to welcome the public to explore the archeology sites of Ain Mohammed and Mesaika, from March 1 to 15, (engaging with archaeologists, gaining hands-on experience, and witnessing groundbreaking discoveries as they happen).
Museum of Islamic Art will feature: on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Ramadan Escape Room (rooms within rooms that explore different facets of Islamic scholarship: calligraphy, Islamic science and inventions, astronomy, and art objects).
On March 25, Planet Kids Club: "Ramadan Stories for Bedtime" by Azhar Abdelrahman (For ages 5 to 11 years old).
The National Museum of Qatar will feature on March 6, Storytelling: Khamis and Hares dish (for children 12 years and younger), and Live Performance by Musahar (the beloved artist known for waking the community for Suhoor during Ramadan, with his small drum and poetic Arabic chants).
321 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will feature, on March 10, 321 Ramadan Walking Challenge (encouraging families and individuals to stay active by tracking their daily steps using devices like smartwatches and fitness apps, with progress showcased on a leaderboard).
Liwan Design Studio and Labs will host on March 12, Workshop: Liwan for Good (a special workshop in support of a charitable cause).
Dadu, the Childrens Museum of Qatar, in partnership with Baladna, will host: on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Dadu X Baladna: Ramadan Journey Through the Cosmos (lineup of activities: interactive workshops, hands-on cooking classes, Ramadan-themed video screenings).
From March 13 to15, Garangao Weekend: "Dadu X Baladna: Garangao at Frjan Dadu" (workshops, including jewellery-making, fanous decoration, and Garangao bag creation, as well as storytelling sessions).
Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will host on March 13, Ramadan Night (showcasing traditional performances by school groups, providing a rich cultural experience that honors the community and its heritage, as well as hands-on art workshops, interactive stations, and live culinary experiences).
QM's Tasweer Photo Festival will hold on March 19, Ghabga Night: A Talk by Moudhi Alhajri - "When Subconscious Leads You" (where photographers and creatives will have the chance to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate the spirit of the season over good food and great company, featuring a talk with Qatari photographer Moudhi Alhajri, whose work moves between documentary and personal storytelling, capturing culture and place with an intuitive lens).
