General Manager of Katara Cultural Village Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti on Wednesday inaugurated the 10th edition of the Mahaseel Festival. The festival is organised by Katara in co-operation with the Department of Agricultural Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality to support domestic agricultural production and enhance food security in Qatar.

The festival will continue until the fourth day of Eid Al Fitr with the participation of 33 local farms and three national companies, including two dairy companies and a poultry company, in addition to a number of nurseries displaying a variety of plants and flowers and special pavilions for the participation of productive families that offer a range of popular foods.

During the Mahaseel Festival, a rich experience for visitors will be offered through direct shopping from local farms, while preserving the traditional form of the market, head of the Festival Salman Mohammed al-Nuaimi said in statements.

It is worth noting that the festival provides a unique opportunity for visitors to purchase fresh agricultural products and high-quality national products, in a distinctive cultural and heritage atmosphere that reflects the festival's vision of promoting the culture of consuming local products.
