The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Public Services Affairs Sector - Public Parks Department, in collaboration with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), has inaugurated Al Wakra Public Park, Al Meshaf Park, and Rawdat Aqdeem Park.This coincides with the celebrations of Qatar Environment Day under the slogan: "Our Environment... A Sustainable Gift”, which is observed annually on February 26.Engineer Abdullah Ahmed al-Karani, assistant undersecretary for public services affairs, inaugurated the newly renovated Al Wakra Park in the presence of Jaber Hassan al-Jaber, director-general of Al Wakra Municipality, alongside a number of officials.Al Meshaf Park within Al Wakra Municipality and Rawdat Aqdeem Park within Al Rayyan Municipality were opened in the presence of Mansour Ajran al-Buainain, director-general of Al Rayyan Municipality, and a number of officials from Al Rayyan Municipality.Al Wakra Public Park spans a total area of 46,601sq m, with 31,585sq m (62%) designated as green space. Visitors can enjoy various facilities, including a prayer area, restrooms, and three commercial kiosks.The park has a 667m walking and jogging path, a 689m cycling track, 458 trees along with landscaped hills that add aesthetic appeal. Ample parking spaces are also available.Rawdat Aqdeem Park covers a total area of 24,000sq m, with an extensive green area of 13,500sq m, featuring 133 trees that help improve air quality. The features include a 638m cycling track, 638m running track, 935m walking path, 659sq m playground for children and 401sq m fitness area.Al Meshaf Park spans a total area of 4,741sq m, making it one of the key recreational destinations in the Al Wukair area. The park features a green space of 2,648sq m with 97 trees, 229m jogging track, 310m walking path, a fitness area and children’s play area of 242sq m.
