The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that Saturday, March 1, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

This came in the Committee's statement after its meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs on Friday evening.

The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs held its meeting on Friday evening, 29th of Sha'ban 1446 AH, corresponding to February 28, 2025, to sight the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan and to prove the testimony of whoever see it.

The Committee said that Ramadan moon was sighted this evening, accordingly announces that Saturday, March 1, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Committee extended greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the wise Government, the people of Qatar and all Muslims, on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
