The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), has rescued a Peregrine Falcon that was trapped on a streetlight pole.
On receiving an alert, the ministry’s specialised teams from the Wildlife Development Department were dispatched to the spot. The teams handled the falcon with the due care to ensure its safety and prevent any potential injuries.
The concerned authorities now will be verifying the identity of its owner through the electronic chip implanted on its body. The falcon then will be handed over to the owner in accordance with established procedures.
