The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has confirmed that local markets in the State of Qatar do not carry the 'Maragatty' chicken broth product originating from the Arab Republic of Egypt, which has been withdrawn from markets in some neighbouring countries due to the product containing banned artificial colours.

The Ministry of Public Health in a post on social media assured that these products are not imported into the State of Qatar.

The Ministry also noted that all imported food products into the State of Qatar undergo the necessary regulatory procedures to ensure their safety, quality, and compliance with the technical requirements and standard specifications.

For inquiries related to food safety, the Qatar Healthcare Unified Contact Centre at 16000 may be contacted, the release said.
