The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced the working hours at its health centres during the holy month of Ramadan. The majority of the 31 health centres will operate on a two-shift system (morning and evening).
A statement from the PHCC said that the family medicine and support services will be available from Sunday to Thursday, with hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am. Al Wakra Health centre will operate non-stop from 9:00 am to 12:00 am.
Dental care services at Al Wakra HC will be provided from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am.
A total of 26 health centres will be operating, namely: South Wakra HC, Al Mashaf HC, Al Thumama HC, Airport HC, Umm Ghuwailina HC, Omar bin Al Khattab HC, Rawdat Al Khail HC, Al Sadd HC, West Bay HC, Al Sheehaniya HC, Al Wajba HC, Muaither HC, Al Khor HC, Abu Nakhla HC, Mesaimeer HC, Al Waab HC, Abu Bakr Al Siddiq HC, Al Rayyan HC, Umm Al Seneem HC, Al Ruwais HC, Leabaib HC, Al Daayen HC, Umm Slal HC, Madinat Khalifa HC, Qatar University HC, and Gharrafat Al Rayyan HC.
These centres will provide the family medicine and support services from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am.
These centres will also provide dental care services from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Al Karaana HC will provide its services, including dental care, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Al Jumailiya HC will offer its services, including dental care, from 9:00 am to 12 pm, and from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Services at Al Kaaban HC and Leghwairiya HC will be available only in the morning, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Meanwhile, the PHCC stated the centres on duty during the weekend include Al Wakra HC, which will provide family medicine and support services running from 9:00 am to 12:00 am.
During the weekend, dental services at Al Wakra HC will be available from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm to 12 am.
According to the statement, 19 health centres will operate during the weekend from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am.
Dental services will be provided at the same hours at the following health centres: Airport HC, Al Mashaf HC, Al Thumama HC, Omar bin Al Khattab HC, Al Sadd HC, Rawdat Al Khail HC, West Bay HC, Leabaib HC, Umm Slal HC, Gharrafat Al Rayyan HC, Madinat Khalifa HC, Abu Bakr Al Siddiq HC, Al Rayyan HC, Mesaimeer HC, Muaither HC, Al Ruwais HC, Al Khor HC, and Al Sheehaniya HC. Al Jumailiya HC will operate on-call.
During the weekend, dental services will be available at Al Ruwais HC on Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm, and at Al Khor HC on Friday from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am. The centre will provide dental care on Saturday in the morning and evening.
As for Al Sheehaniya HC, dental care sevices will available from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
PHCC also listed nine health centres that will not operate during the weekend (Friday and Saturday), namely: South Al Wakra HC, Umm Ghuwailina HC, Al Wajba HC, Al Waab HC, Abu Nakhla HC, Umm Al Saneem HC, Leghwairiya HC, Al Dhaayen HC, and Qatar University HC. Emergency services will only be provided at Al Kaaban HC and Al Karaana HC.
PHCC identified 12 health centres that will provide urgent care service 24 hours a day, seven days a week: Al Ruwais HC, Umm Slal HC, Muaither HC, Al Mashaf HC, Al Sadd HC, and Leabaib HC for adults and children. Gharrafat Al Rayyan HC, Al Sheehaniya HC, Abu Bakr Al Siddiq HC, Rawdat Al Khail HC, Al Kaaban HC, and Al Karaana HC will provide urgent care services for adults only.
The PHCC noted that the community call centre (16000) will provide medical consultations by phone 24 hours a day, non-stop.
