HMC bags accolade for excellence in person-centered care

Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Enaya and Daam Specialised Care Center has once again been awarded Certification for Excellence in Person-Centered Care (PCC) by Planetree, this time with gold level status.

HMCs Enaya and Daam Specialised Care Center is one of only 116 healthcare organisations worldwide to earn this prestigious award, and this is their second certification award.

HMCs Enaya and Daam Specialised Care Center is a support facility that works with Hamad General Hospital and Rumailah Hospital. It provides 24/7 care for long-term patients who are medically complex and chronically ill.

Gold Certification for Excellence in Person-Centered Care represents the highest level of achievement in person-centered care, based on evidence and standards. Person-centered healthcare prioritises the active participation of patients and their families throughout the healthcare process with an emphasis on partnership, compassion, transparency, inclusion, and quality.

The criteria that HMCs Enaya and Daam Specialised Care Center satisfied to achieve Planetree Gold Certification reflect what patients, residents, family members, and healthcare professionals in hundreds of focus groups say matters most to them during a healthcare experience.
