Qatar Charity (QC) and LuLu Hypermarket Qatar have reaffirmed their commitment to humanitarian efforts by renewing their strategic partnership for 2025, with a strong emphasis on their Ramadan philanthropic campaign.
The collaboration enhances LuLu Hypermarket Qatar’s role as a key member of QC’s Charity Partner (CP) programme while actively supporting the Ramadan initiative ‘Giving Lives On’ through its ‘Shop & Donate’ campaign, launched by LuLu Hypermarket Qatar.
Ramadan, a time of giving and solidarity, remains central to this partnership, as both organisations unite to support those in need through impactful charitable initiatives. This renewed collaboration underscores QC’s mission to provide vital aid while aligning with LuLu Hypermarket Qatar’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and community welfare.
Through the agreement, LuLu Hypermarket Qatar will utilise its extensive marketing platforms to enhance awareness of the CP programme, encouraging increased engagement from businesses and institutions in this meaningful initiative.
As part of the Ramadan campaign, LuLu Hypermarket Qatar will contribute a designated amount to QC, including donations generated through the ‘Shop & Donate’ initiative. During the holy month, ‘Shop & Donate’ features a selection of over 1,200 supermarket and department store products, with a portion of the sales proceeds dedicated to QC’s ‘Giving Lives On’ drive, ensuring that essential support reaches the most vulnerable.
The official signing ceremony was led by Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, QC chief marketing officer, and Shanavas Padiyath, regional manager of LuLu Hypermarket Qatar.
Fakhroo lauded LuLu Hypermarket Qatar’s continued support, emphasising the significance of corporate contributions to humanitarian causes, particularly during Ramadan. He encouraged companies across Qatar and beyond to dedicate part of their revenue to charitable initiatives, reinforcing a culture of giving during this blessed season.
Padiyath reaffirmed LuLu Hypermarket Qatar’s commitment to social responsibility, stating, “Ramadan is a time of generosity and unity, and we are honored to partner with Qatar Charity in this meaningful cause. Through ‘Shop & Donate,’ we aim to extend our support to those in need and inspire our customers to contribute to this noble effort.”
He further highlighted the significance of the cooperation, noting that the joint efforts of LuLu Hypermarket Qatar and QC continue to drive positive change, particularly during Ramadan, when the spirit of giving is at its peak.
