Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) hosted Rajata Kreedothsava, a community sports event, as part of its silver jubilee year celebrations.With nearly 300 registrations, the event saw enthusiastic participation from members and their families.The tournament featured four teams: Krishna (Blue), Kaveri (Green), Sharavathi (Yellow), and Nethravathi (Red). KSQ president Ravi Shetty welcomed the participants.Sports secretary Sarfraz conducted the oath-taking ceremony.KSQ advisers and senior members were assigned as mentors for each team. Krishna – mentors: Arun Kumar, Mahesh Gowda; captain: Anil Boloor; vice-captain: Vijaya Shetty. Kaveri – mentors: V S Mannangi, Milan Arun; captain: Prashanth; vice-captain: Poornima. Sharavathi – mentors: Madhu H K; captain: Supriya; vice-captain: Anand Raiker. Nethravathi – mentors: Dr Sanjay Kudari, Subramanya Hebbagelu; captain: Jovial D’ Souza; vice-captain: Shridhar Nayak.A variety of indoor and outdoor games were organised to engage all participants.Joint secretary L G Patil, along with Sarfraz, played a key role in organising and managing the tournament. The event was supported by Kumar Swamy, Sujith, Naveen Shetty, Abdul Salam, Sumanth Shetty, Shridhar, Kumaraswamy, Bheemappa, Bhuvana, Bhavana, Shashidhar, Ramesh, Pradeep, Dinesh, Shridhar, Suraj, Nilesh, Sadanand Rai, Salam, Sunil Bhandary, Vasanth Kumar, Shridhar Nayak, Dhananjay Rai, Preethan Rai, Manoj Shetty, Rachan, Dinesh and Ashwin. The closing ceremony had Indian Sports Centre president E P Abdurahman as the chief guest. Team Krishna (Blue) lifted the overall championship trophy and Team Sharavathi (Yellow), the runner-up trophy. Ex-Army personnel Shankar was honoured on the occasion by KSQ president who draped a special shawl on him.
