The Qatar chapter of the Government Engineering College Alumni, Thrissur (Qget), hosted its 15th annual Iftar gathering, Punya Nilav, featuring over 250 attendees, comprising members and their families in the spirit of unity and reflection during the holy month of Ramadan.
The gathering commenced with Iftar, followed by a welcome speech by Qget treasurer Verghese K Verghese.
Member and career guidance expert Feroz P T, delivered the Ramadan message, highlighting the spiritual significance of fasting and the values promoted during the holy month. Indian Community Benevolent Forum president Shanavas Bava and Indian Sports Centre president E P Abdurahman offered felicitations.
Indian Business and Professionals Council president Thaha Muhammed was present. In his presidential address, Qget president Tommy K V provided an overview of the organisation’s upcoming initiatives.
The event was co-ordinated by senior members Abdul Aziz, Anvar Sadath, Irshad Shaffi, Fahim Hassan, and Ramees, along with joint treasurer Amjad, Nishab, vice-president Gopal H Rao, sports secretary and Iftar committee chairman Ilyas, and general secretary Gopu Rajasekhar.
