The Orphans Care Centre (Dreama) celebrated Garangao Night as part of Dreama’s National Identity Programme, which aims to enhance children’s knowledge of their national identity and instill authentic Qatari customs and traditions in their hearts.

The programme featured various traditional performances reflecting Qatari folklore, as well as cultural activities highlighting the importance of preserving popular heritage and reinforcing national and cultural identity among the children.

There were several stations, including a traditional hospitality corner, a variety of traditional foods showcasing the richness and diversity of Qatari cuisine, and a henna station.

Dreama executive director HE Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed al-Thani emphasised the importance of such events in strengthening social connections among community members and instilling heritage values in the younger generations.

She further stressed that these events play a key role in preserving customs and traditions that tie individuals to their deep-rooted past and contribute to building a strong cultural identity for future generations.
