The inaugural Dooh Qur'an Competition has capped off, culminating in the crowning of the top three winners. Contestant Youssef al-Aghbari clinched the first place and received QR50,000 in cash, Abdullah Abu Shreida secured second place and was awarded a prize of QR30,000, while Mujahid Abdullah Murshid Ali bagged the third place, receiving a prize of QR20,000.
Organised by Barzan Youth Centre and patronised by Ooredoo, 511 individuals participated in the contest to compete in the perfect recitation of the Holy Qur'an with a beautiful voice, with 14 contestants engaging in the finals at the Drama Theater of Katara's Cultural Village Foundation amidst a splendid spiritual atmosphere.
Following accurate verification by the judging committee, which comprised a host of Tajweed experts and recitation performance evaluators, the winners were declared. The competition received significant interaction, both in terms of direct presence and digital platforms.
The beautiful recitations were broadcast over social media platforms as the organising committee was keen to produce vibrant digital content showcasing the contestants' inspiring stories.
