The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has launched an intensive field campaign to remove unauthorized cabins in several areas across the country, as part of the ministry’s strategy to protect natural resources and ensure environmental balance during the winter camping season.
The ministry said that the campaign targeted cabins that were built without obtaining the necessary permits, as well as those that failed to comply with environmental regulations and camping requirements. The campaign resulted in spotting several violations, which were subsequently removed, and the appropriate legal actions were taken against the violators.
Accordingly, the ministry stressed that these measures aim to promote a culture of compliance with environmental standards and prevent any practices that could harm the environment or hinder conservation efforts. It also stressed the importance of environmental awareness and collective responsibility toward nature, highlighting that environmental preservation is a shared duty that requires everyone’s co-operation.
Further, the ministry has announced that inspection campaigns will continue throughout the camping season to minimize potential environmental violations and guide campers towards the possible legal alternatives that ensure a safe and sustainable camping experience without harming the environment. Meanwhile, the ministry urged all citizens and residents to adhere to winter camping regulations and cooperate with the relevant authorities. It affirmed that environmental protection is not just a legal obligation as it is a national and ethical duty that guarantees the sustainability of natural resources for future generations.
