The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on Sunday that several of its paramedics were injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire while they were surrounded in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Red Crescent said in a statement that the occupation forces surrounded a number of its ambulances while they were covering the targeting of Al-Hashashin area in Rafah.
It also reported that several of its paramedics were injured and that contact was lost with the crew, which has been surrounded for several hours and remains trapped.
Israel resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip last Tuesday, after a two-month pause following a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19. However, the occupation violated the ceasefire terms over the past two months, continuing to bombard various areas of the Gaza Strip, resulting in deaths and injuries. It also refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and intensified its suffocating siege on the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy.
