The Embassy of India in collaboration with the Indian Business & Professionals’ Council and Indian Cultural Centre hosted a Ramadan Suhoor gathering at Al Messila Resort, Doha.
A photo exhibition titled 'Investment Opportunities in India' was also put up at the event attended by over 250 guests including prominent Qatari business leaders, ambassadors, diplomats and members of the Indian community, a statement said.
Indian ambassador Vipul extended greetings for the holy month of Ramadan and highlighted the close people-to-people ties between India and Qatar. He recalled the landmark visit of His Highness the Amir to India on February 17-18 during which both countries elevated their relationship to strategic partnership. Both sides also reaffirmed commitment for future growth of the partnership in different areas including trade, investment, energy, technology, innovation and sustainability.
The exhibition on investment opportunities in India showcased the success of the ‘Make in India’ programme of India over the past decade and presented an overview of the opportunities available to the investors, especially in the emerging and high-growth sectors such as, including automobiles, aviation, chemicals, education, electronics, food processing, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and semiconductors, the statement added.
