Commercial Bank has launched a series of initiatives to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan across Qatar.

Commercial Bank has always been a driving force in the world of Corporate Social Responsibility. Having kept the community’s well-being at the top of its priorities, the Bank was driven to give back, foster positive change, and ignite hope.

To fully embrace the spirit of generosity and compassion during Ramadan, the bank distributed iftar to the less fortunate and partnered with Qatar Charity to host ‘Iftar Jawal’ where staff members distributed iftar boxes to individuals.

The bank also partnered with the Centre for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan) and hosted a Suhour event for the elderly.

The event took place at Bayt Al Waldah Restaurant in Old Doha Port, where the elders passed on their life experiences, particularly regarding tradition and culture, to their staff members.

Moreover, Commercial Bank hosted its annual staff Suhour on March 18, 19, and 23 at St. Regis Hotel, bringing employees together, with the presence of the Chairman, Board Members, Exco Members, and Group CEO.

The event aimed to connect employees and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.

The bank also expanded its range of initiatives to celebrate Garangao with a series of school visits and branch festivities where gifts were distributed to kids.

Customers were also invited to join the staff for fun, gifts, and celebrations at its Vendome CB Premium Branch.

Hussein al-Abdulla, executive general manager (Marketing and CB Real Estate) at Commercial Bank said, “Commercial Bank's longstanding commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been an inbuilt element of the bank's structure and its commitment to giving back to the wider community is in support of Qatar National Vision 2030.

“Every endeavour we undertake is driven by one single goal and that is to give customers an enriching experience. During the Holy Month, this mission becomes even more significant because we strive to not only spread joy but bring the spirit of Ramadan to everyone.”

Alanoud Abdulaziz al-Emadi, manager, Sponsorship and Events at Commercial Bank said: “Throughout Ramadan, we reinforced our dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility, striving to make a lasting positive impact on our community.

“We remain committed to driving continuous change in Qatar, with the aim of offering every individual the chance to embrace a brighter, more hopeful future.”
