The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has carried out an intensive inspection campaign in the central regions of the country, which resulted in spotting 35 violations related to the use of bird-calling devices, locally known as "Sawaya."
The Wildlife Protection Department, which oversaw the campaign, confiscated the illegal devices and took the necessary legal measures against the violators in accordance with the Environmental Protection Law, as the use of bird-calling devices poses a threat to biodiversity. The campaign is part of the ongoing efforts to protect the terrestrial environment and maintain ecological balance in the country.
