HE Mansoor bin Ebrahim al-Mahmoud, Minister of Public Health, visited Sidra Medicine, a member of Qatar Foundation.
During the visit, the minister was accompanied by Dr Iyabo Tinubu Karch, CEO of Sidra Medicine, and briefed by the hospital teams on the tertiary healthcare services provided to women, children, and young people, as well as medical education and its key role in conducting innovative medical research.
Sidra Medicine provides essential services across its various clinics, including adolescent medicine, anaesthesia, cardiology, child and adolescent mental health, developmental paediatrics, endocrinology and diabetes, gastroenterology, general paediatrics, general surgery, genetics and genomics, haematology and oncology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, pulmonology, nephrology, neurology, maternal-fetal medicine, fetal diagnostics, menopause clinic, and gynaecology. This visit is part of the minister’s field visits to public and private health facilities to check the progress of the healthcare provisions.
It also underscores the Ministry of Public Health’s commitment to supporting health facilities in delivering the best services for the people of Qatar according to top standards and in line with the National Health Strategy, the Third National Development Strategy of Qatar, and the Qatar National Vision 2030.
