As part of its Ramadan campaign 'Giving Lives On,' Qatar Charity will host the '27th Night Challenge,' the largest YouTube fundraising event, under the slogan 'Rebuilding Hope' on Wednesday.
The event aims to raise QR 40 million to support the rebuilding of 1,500 homes in Syria, enabling displaced families to return and restoring essential services for a safer, more stable environment.
The '27th Night Challenge' event will take place at Wisdom Square in the Katara Cultural Village, featuring social media influencers. The event will also include live video calls with several Syrian influencers and media figures from displacement camps in Syria.
Chief Marketing Officer at Qatar Charity Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo called upon Qatar's benefactors - individuals, companies, and organizations - to maximize the blessings of Ramadan by contributing to vital reconstruction efforts in Syria. He urged them to give their Zakat and Sadaqah to rebuild homes for displaced Syrians, ending their camp suffering and restoring dignified living conditions after 14 years of crisis.
The reconstruction project, funded by the 27th Night Challenge, will be implemented in the Hama countryside, an area devastated by bombings. This initiative aims to restore 1,500 homes, enabling families to return, while also rebuilding vital infrastructure, including a health center, mosques, primary, preparatory, and secondary schools, a kindergarten, and 50 commercial shops.
Upon completion, the project will help close displacement camps, ending years of hardship, and allowing families to return to their homes, revitalizing their communities.
