The embassy of Pakistan in Doha organised a community Iftar and dinner event on March 23 to commemorate Pakistan Day, a statement said, bringing together members of the Pakistani community in Qatar.
Ambassador Muhammad Aamer congratulated the community on Pakistan Day and highlighted the historical significance of March 23, 1940 – the day the Lahore Resolution was passed, laying the foundation for the creation of Pakistan.
He paid tribute to the founding fathers of the nation and emphasised upholding the values of unity, faith, and discipline.
Aamer also appreciated the contributions of the Pakistani community in Qatar, praising their hard work, dedication, and role in strengthening the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Qatar.
The event was attended by many Pakistanis working in the private and public sectors of Qatar and their families.
The programme featured a special prayer for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, followed by Iftar and dinner.
