Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) announced Tuesday its 2025 humanitarian plan would include QR 24.6 million multi-sector projects.

A QRCS statement said it would implement 10 safe water and sanitation projects for the benefit of 438,510 people in Gaza, Syria, Yemen, Niger, Somalia, Sudan, Lebanon, and Mauritania, at a total cost of over QR 13 million.

Furthermore, 11 multi-sector projects worth QR 11.6 million are now in the making to serve 45,100 beneficiaries in Syria, Yemen, Niger, Afghanistan, Somalia, Lebanon, and Jordan. These projects involve clothing for poor families, support for orphans, food and care for older persons, and provision of school bags and stationery for poor students.

In 2024, QRCS implemented numerous safe water and sanitation projects to serve 562,854 people, at a cost of QR 12,148,221. The multi-sector projects costed QR 30,987,435, targeting 2,504,253 people.
