The championship features more than 370 male and female athletes from 39 countries. Shahin secured the bronze after a thrilling third-place match against Uzbekistan’s Rasulov, which ended 6-5 in favor of the Qatari wrestler, thanks to a decisive point in the closing seconds of the bout. He had earlier reached the semi-finals, where he faced Iran’s Mohammad Nangoni and narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
