Account made a triumphant return to form with a dominant victory in the Al Jumayliyah Cup at Al Rayyan Racecourse yesterday. The 6-year-old, owned by Khalifa Hassan al-Jehani, controlled the race from start to finish, to win by four and a half lengths. Jockey Olivier d’Andigne, who also claimed victory in the opening race, partnered with Account for a fitting end to the day’s card.

Jockey Soufiane Saadi had a standout day, completing a hat-trick of victories. He first partnered with Jassim Ghazali-trained Thor’s Hammer to win the Thoroughbred Handicap 65-85. Saadi then claimed his second win aboard Baker De Saularie in the Purebred Arabian Handicap 70-90, before securing his third win with a thrilling one-length victory on Mohammed Ghazali-trained Billboard Star in the Thoroughbred Conditions.

Abdulla Rashid al-Hajri also enjoyed success, steering Amersun to victory in the Local Purebred Arabian Handicap 0-70 and See All Match to a win in the Thoroughbred Handicap 50-70 (Class 5).

Other notable results included Pierre Charles Boudot riding Bojdoor to victory in the Purebred Arabian Handicap 55-75 (Class 5) and Mohammed Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik guiding It’s A Hot One to a win in the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate.
