Syria and South Korea signed Thursday an agreement to exchange diplomatic missions and establish embassies in Damascus and Seoul.
The agreement was reached following a meeting between Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shaibani and his South Korean counterpart Cho Tae-yul, who led a high-level delegation to Damascus.
Both sides affirmed their commitment to building relations based on the principles of peaceful coexistence, sovereign equality among nations, mutual respect for territorial integrity, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
