
The State of Qatar participated in the opening ceremony of Expo 2025 in the Japanese city of Osaka, held under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives."
More than 130 countries and 25 international organizations are participating in the event which is expected to attract approximately 28 million visitors from around the world, including 3.5 million from outside Japan.
The delegation participating in the opening ceremony included HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan and Commissioner-General of the Qatar Pavilion at the Expo, Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, HE Deputy Commissioner-General and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for Qatar's Participation at the Expo, Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, and Vice Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for Qatar's Participation at the Expo, Tariq Al Khalaf.
Qatar's participation in this global event affirms its commitment to expanding cooperation with various countries across various sectors, including economy, culture, and innovation. Through its pavilion at the Expo, Qatar seeks to showcase its future vision and achieve sustainable development goals, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Qatar Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 will serve as a dynamic platform to showcase the country's achievements in innovation, technology, and sustainability. It also offers an opportunity to engage with a global audience, highlighting the beauty of Qatari culture, its history, and its diverse natural landscapes.
