Al-Suwaidi and Anwar inking the pact for the construction of new shopping mall
Al Meera Consumer Goods Company, which is in expansion mode, has awarded a QR47mn contract to Al Khayarin Group (KG) for the construction of its shopping mall at Nuiajja. The project, which is expected to be completed within 18 months, is financed by Masraf Al Rayan, which is also providing project management services.
A formal agreement was signed by Saif Saeed al-Suwaidi, vice president of Al Meera and Mohammed Idrees Anwar, CEO of KG.
The distinctive facility and architectural concept of the project is designed by United Consultant, which is also supervising for the project. KG Group is also associating with HBK Engineering to carry out MEP services and Tadmur Roof and Pools for waterproofing of the structure.
“This project is being undertaken as one of the pilot projects towards company’s expansion plan for providing excellent services to the public in various parts of Qatar,” al-Suwaidi said.
Al Meera is in the process of issuing tenders for six new branches to be opened in the next 24 months. The new branches will add to its existing 26,000sqm of retail space and the expansion will see 13 new stores being opened.
