HSBC Bank Middle East has appointed long-time employee Hussain al-Abdullah, pictured, as head of retail banking and wealth management in Qatar.
Al-Abdullah, who joined the bank in 1999, has played an instrumental role in the development and growth of HSBC’s retail business in the country.
With nearly 12 years experience in banking and finance, he acquired a wealth of experience in the full spectrum of products and services for the customer segment.
“Retail banking and wealth management is a strategic priority of HSBC in Qatar and in the region. I look forward to continually improving the standards of services and products offered to our customers under the leadership of Hussain,” HSBC in Qatar chief executive officer Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi said.
Speaking on his appointment, al-Abdullah said: “I am very enthusiastic about the prospects of my new position and I am eager to carry out my responsibilities to lead the retail banking and wealth management teams. Our business is expanding, and more clients are seeking exclusive banking services designed to meet their personal financial needs.
