The Pakistani Christian community members residing in Doha celebrated Christmas in a grand manner. Pakistan ambassador Mohamed Sarfraz A Khanzada was the chief guest. The envoy congratulated his community members and assured all co-operation from his team at the embassy. He lauded the services and significant contributions by the Christian community for the development and progress of Pakistan. Peter Kay, a longtime Doha resident and senior member of the Pakistani community, thanked ambassador Khanzada for his services and attending the event. “The Pakistani Christian community stands along with their compatriots to work for the progress and prosperity of their motherland,” he said. Kay stated that the Christian community is playing their strong role as educationists, doctors, lawyers, businessmen and in the nation’s defence. World famous cricketer Yousuf Youhana, country’s first non-Muslim Chief Justice A R Cornelius, and Michael Nasir Ali (Bishop Emeritus of Rochester, UK) are among the prominent Pakistani Christians.
