Qatar Petroleum’s Offshore Operations is currently hosting representatives from the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), who are on an official three-day visit to Qatar from January 28-30. Mubarak al-Hajri, operations manager (offshore fields) of QP, said the ADMA-OPCO delegation led by Majed al-Suawidi, manager of Das Island, is in the country for a benchmarking and knowledge-sharing exercise as part of the GCC production and maintenance agenda. In line with this, the QP and ADMA-OPCO teams have delivered presentations at Sharq Village & Spa to share their technical experience in order to continuously upgrade and improve the performance of operational facilities in offshore locations. The benchmarking exercise will be carried out in the areas of communication, harbour operations, equipment and catering operations. The ADMA-OPCO team will also spend a day at Halul Island as part of the visit. ADMA-OPCO is a major producer of oil and gas from the offshore areas of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. QP’s Offshore Operations, on the other hand, operates the Maydan Mahzam and Bul Hanine oil fields and the Halul Island Terminal and Export facilities.
