‘Qatar market is fascinating’

This ruby-rich diamond-studded necklace at Art Creations booth at Alfardan Pavilion at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, has more than 400 stones on it and took more than two years for completion, according to Art Creations president Arthur Boginsky, who is seen alongside. The Russian-born entrepreneur says this necklace set, priced at QR2.5mn, is made wholly of ruby collected from Myanmar, which is becoming a rarity these days owing to the reduced mining activities in the country. The diamond merchant, who set up his company in New York more than 25 years ago, started business with Qatar more than three years ago and found the country to be a ‘fascinating’ market with enormous potential.
