The authority’s multi-storied new office located close to the existing Ashghal Tower in West Bay was also opened on the occasion.
Rendered in artistic Kufic calligraphy reflecting the word ‘marque’ in Arabic and English and a symbol, the new corporate logo endeavours to enhance communication and provide high quality service to its customers.
The new corporate identity, inspired by the slogan ‘Qatar Deserves The Best’, reflects Ashghal as an entity grounded in heritage and tradition.
Speaking on the occasion Ashghal president al-Mawlawi said, “Today we start a new era of Ashghal’s evolution to achieve its strategic and business objectives in becoming a more customer-centric entity.
“This objective will be fulfilled through the launch of our new contact centre, our new website and our new corporate identity which is inspired by Ashghal’s vision, mission and strategy.”
He reiterated Ashghal’s Corporate Strategy 2011-2016, a roadmap for future success, and the onus on it to develop top grade public infrastructure in consonance with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Mentioning a number of major infrastructure projects have commenced over the last two years, al-Mawlawi said, “Public projects comprising roads, drainage systems and buildings, worth more than QR100mn, will be completed over the next five to seven years.”
The new contact centre (telephone number 44951111) is a milestone in Ashghal’s development and its endeavour to offer quality services to its customers. It will provide customer service round-the-clock, seven-days-a-week as a one-point centre for all Ashghal services and enquiries, he said.
The Contact Centre, which uses new technology managed by bilingual staff, will have a co-ordinated approach to handle public enquires and ensure all queries are quickly and effectively dealt with.
Ashghal’s new website is more user friendly, very informative and features latest and accurate data. Its interactive features will help the user communicate with Ashghal through dedicated sections to handle complaints, feedback and suggestions besides social media channels like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The portal gives comprehensive data, supported by videos and images, on Ashghal’s major projects like the expressway.
