A special Barney and Friends show has been staged for children from Qatar Orphan Foundation (Dhreima) at The Gate Mall during Eid.
During the show, the Dhreima children connected closely with the message of building on values that would reflect positively on their daily lives. The initiative supported the foundation’s message that seeks to provide an integrated Islamic system of care and shelter for orphans and the like in Qatar through experiences, research and consultation to achieve family development and social solidarity.
“The Gate management is humbled to be able to provide this fun experience for the children of Dhreima. We at The Gate are happy that we could help give these children a good time during the important Eid period,” said Isabella Ibrahim, marketing representative of The Gate Mall. “We will focus our efforts on making positive changes in the Qatari society and continue to bring more educational shows in the near future.”
Barney and Friends, the globally popular children’s show, has drawn around 4,500 visitors at The Gate Mall over Ramadan and Eid. It provides “edutainment” that encourages positive behaviour by incorporating music, fun and laughs.
The Gate management also created a kids’ corner on the ground floor, where a number of activities were organised for children to enjoy, such as balloon squeezing and face painting.
