The ICC management committee members with Indian ambassador-designate Sanjeev Arora

Indian ambassador-designate Sanjeev Arora has urged the Indian Cultural Centre to focus on projecting India in its totality and portraying the country’s culture thereby contributing to strengthening relationship with Qatar.
Interacting with the ICC management committee members when they met him at the embassy, he suggested that besides Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, the Centre should plan to include celebration of other important days such as Gandhi Jayanti and Shradhanjali Divas in their annual programmes.
He applauded the committee’s efforts to serve the Indian community and its vision and plans for the proposed Community Fair.
ICC president Tarun Basu briefed Arora about the recently held activities and the forthcoming events of the Centre.
He also described the new committee’s vision and future plans and reiterated that they were focused on the objectives of ICC as a socio-cultural wing of the Indian embassy.
Suman Sharma, the second secretary at the embassy, was present at the meeting along with the other committee members of the ICC, including Girish Kumar, Seenu Pillai, Mantha  Uma Srinivas, Dr Nayana Wagh, Gopinath V A, Jatinder Bajaj and Sadeesh V.
