Alfardan Automobiles, the official importer of BMW Group and Alpina Automobiles in Qatar, has launched the new BMW Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo Coupé at its showroom in West Bay, Doha.
As an independent car manufacturer, Alpina has partnered with BMW on and off the racing circuit for more than 40 years, collaborating on technological development and producing a steady stream of innovations. The BMW Alpina range combines luxury and understated exclusivity with exceptional power and ability, Alfardan Automobiles said in a statement.
Based on the BMW 6 Series, Alpina gives the new B6 Bi-Turbo a unique, powerful appearance that underlines the sporty character of the coupe, according to the statement.
The BMW Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo Coupé features an aluminium bi-turbo 4.4-litre V8, equipped with a high-performance cooling system, which develops an output of 397kw (540hp) and 730Nm of torque. With the help of a revised eight-speed automatic transmission and a titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic, the 0 to 100kmph sprint takes just 4.3seconds while the top speed is 320kmph.
Neutral handling, agile dynamics and versatile adjustable suspension are some of the highlights of the car, aimed at satisfying the needs of sport and comfort, the statement says.
The B6 Bi-Turbo features an extensive range of standard equipment, including leather upholstery, fully adjustable comfort seats, a navigation system with preparation for Bluetooth mobile phone, USB audio interface, adaptive LED lights and LED fog lights.
While the exterior components are primarily designed to play a central role in achieving high-speed stability, the philosophy of Alpina dictates that the customer can design his or her own individual interior – made by skilled craftsmen in Alpina’s leather workshop.
The car features a sport steering wheel, hand-stitched in Lavalina leather, while the wood is myrtle – an exclusive burl wood of the laurel family, which grows only on the Pacific coast of the USA.
