‘Napoles funded Aquino in 2010 elections’
Manila Times/ManilaJueteng” (illegal numbers game) accused Sandra Cam of Masbate said controversial pork barrel queen Janet Lim-Napoles contributed to President Benigno Aquino in the 2010 presidential elections.“Napoles made contributions to President Benigno Aquino in the 2010 presidential election that’s why she (Janet Lim-Napoles) is walking in the corridors of power,” Cam said in a radio interview with Dante Maravillas over the DZGB radio station yesterday.Cam, a fearless woman who hails from the Masbate island province also said that Napoles poured in P100mn as funds to the senatorial candidates in Aquino’s Liberal Party “that’s why the centre of investigation is focused only on four opposition senators. “The right path mantra of President Benigno Aquino is not true. Napoles is walking in the corridors of power. And Napoles’ reported surrender to Malacanang is nothing but scripted,” Cam said. When asked if this was the reason why she was prevented by Senate President Franklin Drilon to testify at the Senate hearing, Cam said she’s corroborating the statement made by former Sen. Kit Tatad, which was downplayed by Malacanang spokesman Edwin Lacierda.“Senate President Franklin Drilon is trying to bar Napoles from testifying in the Senate because they’re friends since 2005,” she said. When asked why she’s coming out again after being silent, Cam said that she’s tired and fed up with Drilon’s antics.“I’m tired and fed up with the lies of the Senate President. You think that it is the straight path mantra?” Cam said. The controversial P10bn pork barrel funds scam implicated several lawmakers in Bicol and more specifically in Masbate province, which include former third district Representative and now Masbate governor Rizalina Lanete-Seachon.
