Al Gassar Resort that offers “bespoke lifestyle” in an exclusive waterfront community has seen “big demand” and “high leasing rates” since the launch of the “unique development” in Doha early this year, says Mohamed Sleiman, assistant chief operating officer of Resorts Development Company, which owns the architectural landmark.
Al Gassar Resort is made up of five separate towers, each crowned with “distinctive” domes. The development boasts of three extravagant residential towers, a ballroom and a luxury hotel – St Regis Doha.
The residential towers have some 422 “elegantly designed” fully furnished apartments that range from one to three bedrooms including four and five bedroom penthouses. With an abundance of space, the penthouses provide cutting-edge appliances and lavish furnishings with wide entry foyers, large kitchen space, built-in closets, spacious bathrooms and Jacuzzi including a host of “exquisite” features and amenities.
Another highlight of the “iconic development” is the Al Gassar Ballroom, set in a “rare and innovative” circular design and one that has column-less spacious area and numerous meeting rooms and foyers. The 1,300 sqm ballroom has both direct access and a private entrance.

Luxury hotel St Regis Doha offers some 336 guest rooms including 70 suites with full butler service. There are two Presidential Suites with two and three guest rooms respectively.
Sleiman said though the Doha market is “extremely competitive” Al Gassar Resort has been “clearly positioned” to make the best use of Qatar’s rapidly growing economy.
“We see great prospects for the Qatari economy thanks to HH the Emir’s vision for the country and preparations underway for hosting FIFA World Cup 2022. We believe there will be lots of talented people moving into Qatar to make these happen. The rise in residents’ population will translate into higher leasing rates and more room occupancy,” Sleiman said.
He said a “great selling point” for Al Gassar Resort is its “uncompromising quality, incredible facilities and personal touch”.
“Yes, ours is a very competitive market. But the unique experience for our guests starts at the gate, when our security people greet them…and they are well looked after until they leave…we cater to their needs,” Sleiman said.
Another distinct advantage for Al Gassar Resort, he said is its “prime location”, between West Bay and Katara Village. The resort also enjoys close proximity to Doha’s key business hubs and entertainment and leisure arenas.
“We are an ideal choice for discerning residents and visitors who are looking for a balanced luxury living experience and high quality customised service,” Sleiman said.
